Privacy Policy

1. The short version

• There is no sign-up, no login and no account, so we never ask for your name, email address or payment details.
• Single-player progress and settings are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
• Live tables against other people are different: because a shared table needs a server, we do keep a short record of those hands (see section 3). It contains no name, email or payment details — only a random device identifier and whatever nickname you type in.
• We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful.
• We may show advertising supplied by Google. Advertising and analytics providers set their own cookies — details and opt-outs are below.
• No real money is involved anywhere on this site, so there is nothing financial to collect.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us: none. The games require no registration. The only way to send us anything is to email us voluntarily via the contact page, in which case we hold your message and address only for as long as it takes to reply.

Stored in your browser (not sent to us):the state of a single-player game in progress, your hand statistics and best results, and preferences such as sound on or off. This lives in your browser’s local storage and stays on your device. Clearing your browser data erases it — we hold no copy of single-player progress and cannot restore it.

Stored on our server (live tables only): when you play at a live table against other people, the table itself runs on our server, so the hands played there are recorded: the cards dealt, the bets and folds, and who won. Each record carries a random identifier generated by your browser and the nickname you chose — never your name, email or payment details, because we never ask for them. That identifier is also kept in a cookie set by our game server so that your record survives a cleared browser cache. We keep these hand records so that players can review recent hands, so you can see your own results and tips, and so we can study how the game is played; they are not deleted on a schedule. You can erase the link to you at any time — see section 7. Nothing you do at a live table involves real money.

Collected automatically: standard technical data that any website receives — pages requested, approximate region, device and browser type, referring site — plus the anonymous measurement described in section 4.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Three categories may be used on this site:

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential storage will make the site forget your progress; blocking the others does not affect gameplay.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analyticsto understand how many people visit, which games and guides get used, and where the site is slow or confusing. The data is aggregated and is not used to identify you. You can opt out for every site you visit with Google’s browser add-on.

5. Advertising

This site does not currently serve advertising. No advertising scripts run on these pages and no advertising cookies are set. We do intend to introduce advertising later so the games can stay free to play.

When that happens we will update this policy before any ads appear, and we will say who serves them and what they store. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before any advertising cookie is set, and give you a way to change that choice afterwards.

Advertising will never cover the card table itself: ads will appear beside and below the play area and in our written guides, never on top of your cards.

6. Other services we rely on

The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, which processes request data for security and performance. Our footer links to sister sites operated by the same studio; once you follow such a link, that site’s own policy applies.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California — you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. We operate no accounts, so the only personal data on our side is the random identifier and nickname attached to live-table hands, and the results computed from them. You can erase this yourself:open the live-poker lobby and choose “Delete my data”. This removes the identifier and nickname from every recorded hand (the cards and bets stay, no longer linked to anyone), deletes your results, and clears the cookie — your browser starts over as a new player. If you cannot use the lobby, write to us via the contact page with the identifier shown in the lobby and we will do it for you. For data held by Google as an independent controller, use the Google links in section 4.

8. Children

Poker Room is a card-game site written for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Note that although the chips are play money with no cash value, the subject matter is a casino card game; parents may prefer to supervise younger players.

9. Security and changes

The site is served over HTTPS. Because we store no personal data, a breach of our systems could not expose your identity. If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page; material changes will also be noted on the home page.
